The installation of this pair of Boomerang shackles with 120mm wheelbase ensures a lift of 25mm; it is possible to mount them with standard leaf-springs and shock absorbers, but we recommend to change the shock absorbers for an optimal functioning.

They are made in Italy with 8mm thick C45 steel and provided with a 65mm anticorodal reinforcement bushing; realised by "DIAMOND" finish and equipped with all stainless steel nuts and bolts.

These shackles are galvanized and painted with epoxy powder to ensure a long duration, even in heavy-use.

The particular boomerang shape - compared to traditional shackles - brings the following improvements:

  •           they allow a greater excursion of the leaf-springs, even the original ones, as they do not easily interfere with the stroke limiters welded on Suzuki Samurai and Sj’s chassis;
  •           in case of using leaf-springs longer than the original ones, they prevent the shackles from overturning and so avoid the consequent blocking of the suspension;
  •           if installed on the front axle, in the event of a collision with the ground, the boomerang-type shackles as a sled, avoiding jamming and bending the leaf-spring;
  •           it is possible to use the shackles without the reinforcement bolt, let it deform; thus, it results in a mobility increase and the deformation of the leaf-springs is limited.

The so-called "DIAMOND" finish is not a simple painting: besides the aesthetic touch it gives, indeed, it helps to preserve the surface of the product from rust and from any external agent (mud, snow, salt, etc.).

It prevents the products from corrosion up to 10 years, since should the coating peel – it could happen in off-roading -, the surface of the galvanized metal would remain visible, as resistant to corrosion.

The “DIAMOND” finish is obtained through the following process:

  • cold electrolytic galvanizing treatment to prevent corrosion;
  • dehydrogenation at 180°C,  to reduce the hydrogen accumulatation occurred during the electrolytic galvanizing process, necessary for hardened materials in accordance with ISO 2081 and useful with bent metals (i.e. the turrets);
  • painted with matte pearlescent black epoxy powder.

In order to fully benefit from this article's features, it is necessary to install longer shock absorbers.
