16-Piece Suzuki Jimny Body Mount Bushing Kit

Body mount bushings are the elastic components that connect the vehicle body to the chassis. Their function is to keep the body correctly positioned while isolating it from vibrations and loads generated by the chassis during driving.

Over time, especially on vehicles frequently used for off-road driving, the original bushings can deteriorate, harden, deform or become compressed due to age, loads and continuous stress.

As the bushings lose their original characteristics, the connection between the body and chassis becomes less precise and various issues may occur, including noise, vibrations, squeaking and excessive movement between the body and chassis.

This kit allows the body mounting system to be completely renewed by replacing the worn components at the same time and restoring the correct isolation between the chassis and body shell.

Main Benefits
  • Restores the correct support of the vehicle body.
  • Reduces vibrations and noise transmitted to the body shell.
  • Eliminates play caused by worn bushings.
  • Improves isolation between the chassis and passenger compartment.
  • Restores a more precise body-to-chassis connection.
  • Allows the body mounting bushings included in the kit to be replaced at the same time.
  • Improves reliability for both everyday driving and off-road use.

Kit Contents

The kit includes:
  • No. 16 body mount bushings.

Bushings for the elastic connection between the vehicle body and chassis.
Before installation, always verify that the bushings match the specific vehicle version and model year.

Compatibility

  • Suzuki Jimny 1.3 petrol – G13BB → from 1998
  • Suzuki Jimny 1.3 petrol – M13A → from approximately 2001, including later versions
  • Suzuki Jimny 1.5 DDiS diesel – K9K → from approximately 2003/2004
The kit is designed for third-generation Suzuki Jimny models. Compatibility should always be checked according to the vehicle's model year, market and specific version before purchase.

Why Replace All Body Mount Bushings at the Same Time?
When a Suzuki Jimny has been in service for many years, it is common for the bushings throughout the body mounting system to show a similar level of wear.

Replacing only the most visibly damaged bushing may provide a temporary solution while leaving the other aged components in service.

Using a complete 16-piece kit allows the relevant mounting points to be renewed at the same time, providing a more uniform result and reducing the need to repeat the same repair at a later date.

Why Replace the Body Mount Bushings?
Body mount bushings are wear components that deteriorate with age and use. Even when they are not visibly broken, the material can gradually lose its elasticity and ability to absorb movement and vibration.

Replacement is particularly recommended when the following symptoms occur:

  • Noise or knocking coming from the body while driving.
  • Squeaking during chassis flex or body movement.
  • Increased vibrations transmitted into the passenger compartment.
  • Excessive movement or play between the body and chassis.
  • Bushings that are visibly compressed, cracked, deformed or hardened.
  • Increased noise or a noticeably harsher feel compared with the original vehicle.
  • Deterioration caused by long-term use and age.
On a Suzuki Jimny used for off-road driving, checking the body mount bushings is particularly important because continuous chassis flex and impacts from uneven terrain subject these components to significantly greater stress than normal road use.

What Are the Benefits of Replacing the Bushings?
Replacing the body mount bushings restores the correct elastic connection between the chassis and vehicle body.

A complete replacement helps restore the original function of the mounting system, reducing unwanted movement and improving the isolation of vibrations and noise.

Replacing only the most severely worn bushing may temporarily address a specific problem while leaving other aged bushings in place.

A complete 16-piece kit allows the relevant mounting points to be renewed simultaneously, providing a more consistent result and reducing the likelihood of having to repeat the same work later.

Installation
Replacing the body mount bushings is not particularly complex from a technical standpoint, but it requires suitable equipment and careful handling when lifting the vehicle body.

To remove the original bushings and install the new ones, the body must be partially separated from the chassis and lifted sufficiently to release the mounting points.

On older vehicles, the job may be more demanding due to:

  • Corroded or seized mounting hardware.
  • Rust around the mounting points.
  • Bushings that have become deformed or stuck in position over time.
  • Dirt, mud and debris accumulated between the chassis and body.
  • Previous modifications made to the vehicle.
For this reason, installation by a properly equipped workshop or by a technician experienced in 4x4 vehicle maintenance is recommended.

Replacing the bushings as a preventive measure during chassis or body maintenance can also help avoid having to carry out the same work again at a later stage.

Suitable for Road and Off-Road Use
The kit is suitable both for restoring Suzuki Jimny vehicles used as daily drivers and for vehicles used for off-road driving, 4x4 events and technical trails.

During off-road use, the Jimny chassis is subjected to continuous flexing, while the body moves relative to the chassis through its elastic mounting system. Bushings in good condition help maintain the correct connection between the two components while limiting the transmission of vibrations and loads to the body.

A simple but essential component for maintaining the correct connection between the chassis and body shell.
