This pair of rear springs are made in Italy with 52SiCrNi5 high quality steel in compliance with the UNI EN 10089 standard, they are longer than the original ones, reinforced with progressive effect and soft calibration.

These springs raise the vehicle by 6cm compared to the original trim and mount without any modification on all the Nissan Patrol Y60.

They have a soft calibration optimized to give maximum performance off road but still perfectly suitable for road use thanks to characteristics of the variable pitch springs.

In the technical data sheet the operation of a variable pitch spring is explained.

The springs are built in Italy by a company certified by TÜV according to the UNI/ISO 9001:2015 standard.

The progressive springs, unlike traditional ones, have a variable pitch, ie the distance between the coils is not constant but varies along its length, the stiffness of a spring equal to the material and diameter of the wire is given precisely by the number of spire and by their step.
A progressive spring allows to insert more coils with respect to a traditional spring, resulting much softer, the coils with variable pitch during compression harden the spring progressively obtaining an extremely soft, comfortable and able to copy the ground but very stable on the road.

The main advantages in off-road of a progressive spring:

  • greater ability to copy the terrain;
  • greater excursion at equal length compared to a traditional spring;
  • very stable in the lateral passages because crushing it stiffens;
  • most absorption of sudden obstacles, as stiffens progressively brakes a possible obstacle (boulders, roots, etc.) without getting to buffer.

The main advantages on the road of a progressive spring:

  • very stable on fast sections;
  • very more comfortable than a traditional spring thanks to the high number of turns;
  • it reduces the rolling in the corners to a minimum as crushing progressively stiffens.
