Reinforced front bevel gear for Jeep Wrangler JK produced from 2007 to 2018.

Made of SAE8620 steel with the Gleason process, it is thermally hardened to resist wear and surface treated with black oxidation to make it extremely silent.

Made in the U.S. by the well-known Motive Gear company that has been producing components for the transmissions of American vehicles and Ultra4 vehicles for years.

The high construction precision makes the recording particularly simple, however it is recommended to have the installation carried out by a specialized workshop. In the Download section you will find assembly instructions.

The main installation features are the following:

differential case design type: Dana 44 (for Rubicon models)/Dana 30
ring gear bolt Quantity: 10
ring gear rotation: Reverse.

From the drop-down menu, select the type of differential and the desired ring and pinion ratio.

Specifications for 4.11 ratio:

  • pinion gear tooth 10
  • pinion spline 24
  • ring gear tooth 41

Specifications for 4.56 ratio:

  • pinion gear tooth 9
  • pinion spline 24
  • ring gear tooth 41
Specification for 4.88 ratio:
  • pinion gear tooth 8
  • pinion spline 24
  • ring gear tooth 39

Specification for 5.13 ratio:

  • pinion gear tooth 8
  • pinion spline 24
  • ring gear tooth 41

Specification for 5.38 ratio:

  • pinion gear tooth 8
  • pinion spline 24
  • ring gear tooth 43

On Dana 30 axle installed on non Rubicon JK Wranglers produced from 2012 onwards, the differential carrier must also be replaced.

In the technical specifications you will find the recommended ratios for each model of Jeep Wrangler JK in proportion to the tires installed.

IMPORTANT. The replacement of a bevel gear is a job that requires professionalism, an installer can only perform it with suitable equipment and with the proper knowledge of its calibration. Incorrect assembly causes breakage or premature wear of the same.

We recommend the following ratios in relation to the tires used:

37 "tires
  • 5.13 ratio for Rubicon models from 2012
  • 5.38 ratio for Rubicon models up to 2011
  • 5.13 ratio for all non Rubicon models from 2007 to 2016
35 "tires
  • 4.88 ratio for Rubicon models from 2012
  • 5.13 ratio for Rubicon models up to 2011
  • 4.88 ratio for all non Rubicon models from 2012
  • 5.13 ratio for all non Rubicon models up to 2011
33 "tires
  • 4.56 ratio for all models
The ratio must also be chosen based on the use of the vehicle. The recommended ratios are the most suitable for obtaining the final reduction ratio values at values very similar to the original, so as not to stress the other transmission parts. If you are using the Jeep Wrangler JK in demanding offroad, we recommend choosing a smaller ratio than the recommended ones.
